DAY 1: LIMA
After arriving at the international airport you will be picked up and taken to your hotel
Day 2: LIMA
In the morning, you will enjoy a city tour through Lima and you will get to know the most important attractions of the "City of Kings" like the historic center, the Plaza San Martín, the City Hall, the Government Palace, the Cathedral and the beautiful balconies of the houses of the colonial era. Afterwards you return to the hotel and the afternoon is at your free disposal.
Day 3: BALLESTAS ISLANDS, NAZCA
Today you will make a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands which belong to the Natural Reserve of Paracas.You will be able to observe sea lions, penguins, pelicans and other seabirds. On the way back you stop at the famous "Candelabro", a gigantic figure in the style of the Nazca Lines. In the late afternoon you arrive in Nazca.
Optional: For 45 minutes you fly with a small plane for 105.00 Euros per person over the mysterious Nazca Lines, huge geoglyphs in the Nazca desert representing animals, birds and geometrical figures that can only be seen from the air
DAY 4: NAZCA, AREQUIPA
In the morning the journey takes you to Arequipa. On your way, You will pass through deserts and valleys enjoying the variety of landscapes. You will arrive at your hotel in the white city in the early afternoon.
DAY 5: AREQUIPA
Today in the morning, you will make a tour through Arequipa on your own. You will visit the main square, one of the most beautiful ''Plazas'' in Peru and the Cathedral which is an example of Peruvian architecture of the 19th century. It houses magnificent treasures of gold and silver. Afterwards you will walk through ''La Compañia'', a Jesuit church and one of the most beautiful churches in Arequipa .
In the afternoon, You will pay a visit to the monastery Santa Catalina . You will marvel at the numerous courtyards and gardens, the kitchen, the room of the slaves and the washing areas made of stone for an entrance fee of 48 Euros. In former times, the requirements for entry into this monastery were the strictest of Peru. Today about 20 nuns live in the part of the monastery, which formerly housed up to 500 Nuns. (B)
DAY 6: AREQUIPA, COLCA CANYON
Early in the morning you start your amazing and beautiful half-day bus trip to Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world (3.400m). On your way you cross the "Pampa Cañahuas" in the National Park of "Aguada Blanca", Habitat of vicuña and alpacas, and you pass through the Pre-Columbian terraces that are still used by local Colleagues. Later you relax in your hotel in Colca Canyon to get used to the altitude.
Optional: Trip to "La Calera" thermal Springs.
DAY 7: COLCA, CROSS OF CONDOR, PUNO.
Early in the morning, you will start your bus tour to the "Cruz del Condor" where you have the opportunity to observe the world's largest bird of prey in the wild. On your way back you will visit the villages of Yanque, Coporaque, Achoma and Maca and admire the local population, whose life has not changed significantly since Inca times. In the afternoon you will receive a transfer to your hotel in Puno.
DAY 8: LAKE TITICACA
Today is your free day or you will take an impressive boat trip on Lake Titicaca and visit the swimming island of the Uros. The Uros are an old nation on Lake Titicaca that is also called "Acuatica". The Uros constructed the island by putting layers of cattails from the lake around the edges. The same material is used for the construction of houses and boats. Your next stop is the island Taquile where you will get to know its inhabitants, the Quechua. The Quechua have developed an efficient social system over the generations and are well-known for their knitting art. Lunch is taken on the island and in the afternoon you return to Puno where you receive a transfer to the hotel.

DAY 9: PUNO, CUSCO.
Early in the morning, you'll start with your nine hour bus ride in the Inka Express to Cusco. On your way you drive along the mountain range of Vilcanota with its impressive snow capped peaks "La Raya" and "Kunurana" and you will visit Andahuaylillas and Rajchi. Upon arrival in Cusco you will be transfered to your hotel.
DAY 10: CUSCO
The day is at your leisure
Optional: On a city tour in Cusco you will visit the main square with the cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or the Koricancha. You continue your trip to the Inca ruins Kenko, Rambomachay, Puca Pucara and to the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, which was strategically built on a hill and dominates Cusco. The fortress is famous for its huge stones, which are interconnected with an astounding precision to form the outer walls of the complex. You return to your hotel and the afternoon is at your leisure. (B)

DAY 11: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays)

Optional: In the Sacred Valley of the Incas, you will visit the lively and colorful market of Pisac on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Here you will get acquainted with the customs of the indigenous people on a typical market day.
On Sundays, Mass is held in Quechua, the language of the local population. In the afternoon you will take the bus through the valley of Urubamba to the fortress of Ollantaytambo that was built on several terraces to guard the entrance of the valley and protect it from invasions. You will also stroll through the narrow streets of the village and get an insight into the military, religious and cultural center of the Incas. Afterwards, you go back to Cusco.

DAY 12: SACRED VALLEY, MACHU PICCHU, AGUAS CALIENTES
In the morning, You will receive a transfer to the train station of Poroy from where you start your trip to Machu Picchu. The bus will take you from the Aguas Calientes train station to the beautiful citadel. The drive takes approximately 30 minutes. During the guided tour we will visit the main plaza, the round tower, the holy sun dial, the royal rooms, the temples of the three windows and the cemetery. There will be time left for a private stroll. In the afternoon the train takes you back to Poroy where you get a transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
DAY 13: CUSCO, LIMA
You will get a transfer to Cusco Airport from where you take a flight to Lima. Upon arrival you receive a transfer to Miraflores. The flight Lima-Cusco is not included in the price and costs about 140 USD per person.
Optional: You can visit the gold museum before you receive your transfer to the airport in the afternoon.
