Day 01: LIMA: After your arrival at the international airport in Lima you will be taken to your hotel.


Day 02: LIMA:  In the morning city tour of Lima. You will visit the most important sights of the "City of Kings". The Historic Center, Plaza San Martín, the Main Square, the Town Hall, the Government Palace, the Cathedral and you will admire the beautiful balconies of the houses from the colonial era. Afterwards, You will visit the Museum of Anthropology and Archaeology which displays the largest collection of Pre-hispanic art objects.  In the afternoon you return to the hotel. (B)


Day 03: LIMA / PARACAS:  You will leave Lima in the morning and drive south to Paracas by comfortable private transport. En route, You will visit Pachacamac. The archaeological excavation of Pachacamac is situated 35 km from Lima, in the valley of the river Lurin. In Inca times, Parachamac was one of the most important places of pilgrimage along the Peruvian coast. Arrival in Paracas in the late afternoon.


The rest of the day is at your leisure. (B)


Day 04: PARACAS / NAZCA: Excursion to the Ballestas Islands. Today you take a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands, which are a part of the the Nature Reserve of Paracas. You have the opportunity to observe sea lions, penguins, pelicans and other sea birds. On your way back you stop at the famous "Candelabro", a gigantic figure in the style of the Nazcas. In the late afternoon the journey takes you to Nazca. En route, You will visit Huacachina oasis and the regional museum in Ica.


Optional: Flight over the Nazca lines.


With a small Charter Plane, you fly over the mystic Nazca lines, enormous geoglyphs in the Nazca desert, which represent animals, birds, and geometrical figures. The geoglyphs can only be seen from the air. The flight takes approximately 45 minutes. Overnight stay in a selected hotel. (B)


Day 05: NAZCA / AREQUIPA. In the morning, You will be taken to Arequipa by private transport. The journey takes approximately 10 hours and you will cross the Deserts and valleys of the coast. Arrival in the white city of Arequipa in the late evening.

Day 06: AREQUIPA: In the morning, a city tour of Arequipa is on the program. You will visit  the main square and the Cathedral, an example of Peruvian Architecture of the 19th Century with treasures of gold and silver. Later you will pay a visit to La Compañia, an old Jesuit church and one of the most beautiful churches in Arequipa with a beautiful facade and columns with spiral carvings, laurel crowns, flowers, birds etc.


On closer inspection,you will see that the angels have indigenous faces and one of the angels wears a feather crown. Afterwards the journey will take you to the convent of Santa Catalina. This place was re-opened in 1970 after a 400-year closure for visitors. Santa Catalina gives the visitors an insight  into four centuries of history. You can visit the numerous courtyards, the kitchen, the slave rooms and the laundry places of stone. The requirements to enter the convent were the strictest in Peru. Today 20 nuns live in the part of the convent where once, up to 500 nuns used to live. Return to the hotel and the afternoon is at leisure. (B)


Day 07: AREQUIPA: In the early morning, you will start an impressive half-day tour to the Colca Canyon, One of the deepest canyons in the world (3.400 m). You drive through the "Pampa Cañahuas" and the National Park "Aguada Blanca", habitat for the Vicuñas and alpacas (South American camels). En route you will also see pre-Colombian terraces that are still used by the local Collaguas. Overnight in the hotel La Casa de Mamayacchi*** or in a similar hotel. We recommend to rest to get used to the altitude.


Optional: Excursion to the hot springs "La Calera". (B)


Day 08: COLCA: You'll start your excursion to the "Cruz del Condor" very early in the morning, where you have the opportunity to observe the biggest bird of prey in the wild. On your way back, you will visit the villages of Yanque, Coporaque, Achoma and Maca. The habits and way of life of this population has not changed since the Inca times.


Return to the hotel. (B)


Day 09: COLCA CANYON / PUNO: In the morning, you'll start our 5 hour journey in private transport to Puno. En route,you will visit the burial site of Sillustani, which is located picturesquely at lake Umayo. These 14 Meter high towers were used as tombs in the Tihuanaco Culture. There, you have the opportunity to observe many endemic bird species.

Day 10: PUNO / LAKE TITICACA: Today you will make a spectacular boat tour on Lake Titicaca and first you will visit the floating islands of the Uros. The Uros are an old nation living on Lake Titicaca, they are also known as the tribe "Acuatica". The Uros People construct their islands by putting layers of cattails in regular intervals at the edges of the island. The same material is used for the construction of the houses and boats. You continue to the island of Taquile, Which is home to the nation of Quechua. The population of Taquile has developed an efficent social system from generation to generation. You can also admire the knitting art. Later, You continue to Luquina where you will have lunch. Luquina is a small Aymara community on the peninsula Chucuito. In the afternoon, You return to Puno. Transfer to the hotel. (B,L)


Day 11: PUNO / CUSCO. Your 9 hour journey to Cusco starts early in the morning. On the way to Cusco, You'll pass the mountain chain Vilcanota,Where you have the opportunity to observe the Snow-covered peaks of "La Raya" and "Kunurana. En route, you will visit Rajchi and Andahuaylillas. After your arrival in Cusco and  transfer to your selected hotel. (B)


Day 12: CUSCO: On a city your of Cusco, you will visit the main square, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or Korikancha. You'll continue the tour with a visit of the Inca ruins Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuamán, which was built strategically on a hill and dominates over Cusco. The fortress is famous for its enormous stones which are interconnected and form the walls of the complex. Return to the hotel. The afternoon is at your leisure. (B)


Day 13: CUSCO: You will make an excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Inca and you will visit the colourful indigenous market in Pisac. Here, you can take a look at the customs of the population on a typical market day (on Sundays, Mass is held in Quechua, the language of the population). In the afternoon you will drive through the Urbamba Valley to Ollantaytambo. The fort of Ollantaytambo was built to guard the entrance of the valley and protect it from possible attacks of the jungle population. The site consists of several superimposed terraces. Furthermore, you have the opportunity to walk through the narrow streets of the village and gain an insight of this military, religious and cultural center of the Incas. In the afternoon, transfer to your selected hotel. (B)


Day 14: SACRED VALLEY OF THE  INCAS / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO. In the morning, transfer to the train station of Ollantaytambo. You start the 90-minute train journey to Aguas Calientes, a village on the foot of Machu Picchu. From there, you will be going by bus up to the ruins of Machu Picchu in 30 minutes. During the guided tour you will visit the main square, the round towers, the Holy Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the three windows and the cemetery. Afterwards you have time for a stroll on your own. In the afternoon return to Poroy by the train and transfer to Cusco.

Day 15: CUSCO / LIMA. In the late morning, Transfer to the Airport of Cusco. Flight to Lima. Arrival and transfer to the selected hotel. (B) Optional: Visit of the gold museum or the Larco Herrera Museum.


Day 16: LIMA. Morning transfer to the airport and take your flight back home. (B)
